Modern Mythology About Increasing Your Fuel Mileage!

If you want to learn you often have to wipe clean the incorrect data first. There is actually a technology to erase incorrect data but it would need to be done in person. But I will do the best that I can under the circumstances. I want to share with you an actual remedy for improving your fuel economy. First, however. let me nullify some of the incorrect data that might be in your head.

TO FRY OR NOT TO FRY?
Are you seriously driving around in Florida in the Summertime with your air conditioner off, baking so that you may increase your fuel economy?
Well breaking news for you that having your AC off, if you have a properly running automoblie will only win you about 1 mile per gallon. Which necessitates this question.. is it worth it?

But, if you desire to keep your airconditioner off for some reason (some people don't like recycled oxygen) and have your windows open on the high speed roads, you should be informed that Consumer Reports did a study that refuted that claim that having windows open on the high speed roads actually resulted in sufficient drag to reduce gas mileage.
What's my point? Do what you want! . Do what's comfortable.

"ONLY pump gas on Tuesdays when the wind is from the Southeast and the quarter moon is in the Southeast or between 6:30 AM and 6:50 AM"

Some individuals claim the best time to buy gas is on a Wednesday, when gas prices have settled back down from the weekend bump when oil companies usually increase prices. Well you can check this out at your local gas station and debunk the theory. Fact is that gas prices go up, gas prices shrink. The only substantial bumps occur during Holidays so it would be wise to fill up a few days before a Holiday if possible and you will save a few bucks.

POWER DOWN
Restart your engines - this is the most amusing one. Could you imagine being on the road with some driver in front of you who turned off their car at every red traffic light just to increase your fuel economy? Could you visualize if a large number of cars around you were doing the same? It just strikes me as a funny scene. And doing this won't save much gas anyway. Of course your lowest mileage is when you are burning gas and not moving but it doesn't amount to very much.

PADONK! PADONK!
That is the sound of driving with a deformed tire. Yeah you need to maintain tires at ideal pressure but for other reasons besides to increase your fuel economy. You won't achieve much except some small improvement by making sure your tire pressure is standard.

DE-JUNK YOUR TRUNK
Expect to save roughly 3-6 cents per gallon by clearing out the crap from your trunk. So, if you average 15 gallons/week you save between 50 cents and $1 per week (and how much is your Starbucks bill again? ) and that tallies to $25-50 per year!! Wow! Let's have a party!

READY FOR A REVOLUTION?
What if you never had to buy another gallon of gasoline again?
Convert your gasoline engine to hydrogen.
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you should see savings on your gasoline consumption of up to 30% maybe more.
If you do this and also add acetone to your gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have lowered your gasoline consumption by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of gasoline and less gasoline will evaporate and you increase your fuel economy by 25% or more.
If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will never have to pump another gallon of gasoline for the rest of your life. It is really quite easy, costs next to nothing, doesn't pollute the environment and you will have the pleasure of knowing that you are helping to conserve resources instead of consuming more than your fair share.
