An American new manufacturing company (to remain unnamed here as I am not getting paid to promote them) released the news to a major science publication on Thursday that it expects to release the first generation automobile that is runs On AIR for the American market by late 2009 or early 2010. As the U.S. outlet for a foreign-based corporation, which invented the Air Car as a compression-based alternative to the internal combustion engine, the American company has procured rights to build the first of numerous manufacturing plants, which are likely to begin manufacturing in Detroit and other Northeastern industrial centers and grow for regional manufacturing around the country, at a pace of up to ten thousand Air Cars per year.

Company officials have planned to make the first air-powered auto to hit U.S. roads a $17,900, 75-horse power six-seater. that, reportedly is expected to go roughly 1000 miles at up to NINETY SIX mph on each tiny fill-up.

We will see if it meets those expectations but it is still pretty outside of the box kinda stuff conceptually.

The corporate spokesperson also said that it would not be only air but would require some tiny quantity of some type of fuel. But that the small quantity of fuel, with the air, could run the auto for 800-1000 miles or more if their plans translate well into the real world.

All of this is wonderful news!
