What can you do if you wanted to get your car burning the gas as cleanly as possible, leaving less soot and deposits in the combustion chamber and on the valves, while cleaning the injection system, or in vehicles the carburetor, while not hurting emissions systems, not voiding your warranty, and, ultimately, getting you improved fuel economy and greater longevity?
In recent experiments it has been concluded that aromatic petroleum distillates, alcohol (methyl alcohol), ether, acetone, and toluene all accomplish all of these functions. That is to a point. If put in too much of any of these it backfires. The most optimum found which was simplest to use in order to obtain and maintain improved fuel economy was 1-2 ounces of acetone per full tank
Pure acetone actually prevents vaporization rather than adding something to the fuel itself. So acetone is not actually fuel. A little bit goes a long way - very negligible ratios from about 1/4 of one percent to one-third of one percent. mileage starts to reduce at larger amounts.
Acetone not only improves mileage but reduces pollution noticably and helps engines live longer. The optimum amount
is approximately equivalent to 2 to 3 oz. per 10 gallons and this will enhance mileage
about 25-percent or more. Your mileage will increase and your car will operate better. You will get a quieter running engine to have better longevity by obtaining better vaporization and mileage . That tiny bit of Acetone reduce the amount of unutilized gas to near zero.
One important note - Acetone is PAINT REMOVER so please use a small stainless steel measuring cup and long funnel to keep your paint job protected. Acetone should not be purchased from drug stores. Their brands suck in those stores out there because it has been tainted with impurities . Good Acetone has that powerful Acetone odor. Canadian acetone is usually preferable. Go to a good paint supplies store .
The other problem is that the oil corporations doesn't want you to know how to save on fuel and you may end up voiding the warranty as they sometimes check for fuel additives like acetone.
Also, one last note, since mixing in acetone makes your system more efficient and able to burn fossil fuel cleaner it is better for the environment - less emmissions.
Many other tips are just plain contradictory or wrong...
I found several articles that
recommend don't use your airconditioner which is great if you live in Florida or it is 100 degrees in the city! Then I found one article that says to keep the vehicle's
windows open in the city streets but to keep your AC on while on the parkways because having the windows open while driving above 55MPH adds drag which lessens gas mileage.
Who's right? Who's wrong? Who cares? Does it increase fuel
economy? No, probably not!
The most bona fide solution to reduce your gas consumption, with fuel prices in the $3-4.50 range up and down over the last year or so is to sever your umbilical cord... the one that binds you to the fuel pump and get free from your chains of slavery to the oil companies and....
Convert to a hydrogen engine!
What if you never needed to purchase another gallon of gas again?
Convert your gas engine to hydrogen.
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you can expect to see lowered gas consumption of up to 30% maybe more.
If you do this and also add acetone to your gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have improved your fuel economy by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of gas and the gas will evaporate less easily and you reduce your gas consumption by 25% or more.
If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will never have to pump another gallon of gas for the rest of your life. It is far easier than you might think, costs next to nothing, safeguards the environment and you will enjoy the
reward of knowing that you are helping to conserve resources instead of using up more than your fair share.
