State Of The Union Address Diversion From Available Alternative Fuel Solutions

In the first 5 minutes of Bush's first utterance at his LAST State of the Union address (Thank God!) he is talking about dependence on foreign oil. Again, he suggests research into coal! We have had coal for how many centuries and what more is there to know about it? Besides, how would you use coal in a car engine? Sounds kinda noisy to me!
But then he says that we need the great American entrepreneurs and scientific minds and yadda yadda to devise technologies to make fuel cells work! You see, the problem with this is that we have them now and Bush knows it that fuel cells already have been discovered! It is the easiest thing in the world now that the hard work has been done and you don't need to be a great American brain surgeon or Donald Trump to have it running your automobile right now!

But no, Bush puts forth the false image that it is as far off as a cure for cancer (which many alternative practices have had on the run for more than a decade now but I digress), my point... if he hides the fact that it exists now and talks as if it is as far in the future as Star Trek then he accomplishes diversion from the truth that it is here and now!

And then he tells us that the real solution is international agreements and entangling alliances with foreign countries which violate the Constitution, seek to undermine American sovereignty and are just more progress towards a global government that he promised dear old dad he would give to him for his next birthday present!

A Bush State of the Union address is always an adventure. He even managed to get in some words about 911!
But let's get our heads out of this manipulative attempt at brainwashing and talk about what is.

What if you never had to purchase another gallon of fuel again? Would that answer Bush's call to end oil addiction?

Convert your fuel engine to hydrogen.
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you can expect savings on your fuel consumption of up to 30% maybe more.
If you do this and also add a couple of ounces of acetone to your 10 gallon gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have lowered your fuel consumption by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of fuel and less fuel will vaporize and you increase your MPG by 25% or more.

If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will have pumped your last gallon of fuel for the rest of your life. It is really quite easy, costs next to nothing, safeguards the environment and you will enjoy the reward of knowing that you are helping to conserve resources instead of consuming more than your fair share and you will be as patriotic in your actions as mom's apple pie!

GAS Prices A New Look

This is a brief summary of 1. comparative time track of gasoline prices 2. price of gasoline compared to other consumables 3. the greed of the oil companies 4. taking matters into your own hands

It seems so long ago and it certainly was a different world back then. But just before the events of 911 the cost of a barrel of crude oil was eighteen dollars! Fast forward 7 years and it is over $100! But what does a dollar buy now? Certainly it purchases much less than it bought 7 years ago. This much we know for sure. After all, Fox news tells us every day about the incredible shrinking dollar.
If we factor in inflation we get a very different calculation of the cost per a gallon of gasoline than our eyeballs tell us when we see a 3 or a 4 at the gasoline station to the right of the dollar sign.
If we calculate the price of gasoline relative to wages in 1920 we would now be facing a gallon of gasoline at over ten dollars! It can truthfully be stated that the cost of a gallon of gasoline has declined since the 1920s consistently if factors such as inflation and the increase in average earnings are properly factored into the equation.
Another thing that Americans have to be thankful for in consideration of one of the things that we most like to complain about, is the comparison of gasoline prices in the US compared to European prices.
A gallon of gasoline in Europe is now passed $5 or more. And what is worse is that approximately half of that covers only oppressive taxes! In America, the percent that you pay on a gallon of gasoline that taxes account for, including inflation, which Presidential candidate Ron Paul appropriately regards as a tax, is about ¼ or just over seventy cents. Without considering inflation as a tax the amount is about 45 cents or around 12% compared to 50% in Europe. (Of course we are also paying 10% inflation whether you wish to regard it as a tax or not).

Now, let's compare what a gallon of gasoline costs next to one gallon of other every day items if they were sold by the gallon, this is quite surprising.
A gallon of milk is $2.99, compared to a gallon of gasoline which is presently approximately $3.25 or so. A gallon of shampoo would set you back around $40. A gallon of real maple syrup would set you back around $57. Jack Daniels would set you back around $100 per gallon! A gallon of Crisco oil would set you back around $75 and a gallon of nasal spray would set you back around $2.615!

So what is it about the price of a gallon of gasoline that makes it so hated? I consider that there are two causes and one is the profit margin of the oil companies and the other is the rapidity at which a gallon of gasoline is used up.

For instance, how much time does a gallon of gasoline last you? Ok, how long would a gallon of nasal spray last you (depends on the size of your nose I propose ha ha)? How long would a gallon of Jack Daniels last you? You can take the 5th on answering that one!

So that is one factor. And another is how much profit the oil companies rake in and the perceived greed of these companies starting in the days of Rockefeller and more recently to J R Ewing!!
Exxon profited $8 billion from January through March of 2007. They average around ten percent profit on EACH $1 worth of gasoline sold

So it is not the price of a gallon of gasoline more a matter of how swiftly we use up a gallon of gasoline and the intolerable profit margin swiped per gallon by corporations who we see as wanting to rip us off for a buck.

So the real solution is in how do we improve our gas mileage

And the best solution to that is by converting from gas to gas/hydrogen hybrid engines, thereby reducing gas consumption by 24-34% or more. Or by converting to a fuel cell hydrogen only system which means you will never have to purchase a gallon of gas for the rest of your life!

To buy or to lease?

Buy or Lease?

It's the classic dilemma that faces every auto-consumer out there: Pay
cash upfront or forego the ownership and pay monthly settlements instead?
Buy or lease for a new set of wheels?

As is the case with every other common dilemma, there is no slam-dunk
answer. Each option has its own benefits and drawbacks, and it all depends on a set of financial and personal considerations.

First, your finances. Affordability is clearly key, and you need to ask the question of how stable is your job and how healthy is your general
financial situation. The short-term monthly-cost of leasing is significantly lower than the monthly payments when buying: you only pay for "the portion" of the vehicle's cost that you use up during the time you drive it.

If you have a lot of cash upfront, then you can opt to pay the down
payment, sales taxes - in cash or rolled into a loan - and the interest
rate determined by your loan company. Buying effectively gives you
ownership of the car and that feeling of "free driving" that goes on
providing transportation.

If, say, you want to get into luxury models but can't afford the upfront
cash of purchasing the vehicle than you're a good candidate for leasing.
Unlike buying, it gives you the option of not having to fork out the down
payment upfront, leaving you to pay a lower money factor that is generally similar to the interest rate on a financing loan. However, these benefits
have a price: terminating a lease early or defaulting on your monthly lease payments will result in stiff financial penalties and can ruin your credit.
You need to make sure you carve out the monthly lease payment in your
budget for the foreseeable future, at least for the duration of the lease.

Besides the financial aspect, making a buy or lease decision depends on
your own particular lifestyle choices and preferences. Think about what the car means to you: are you the sort of person to bond with the car or would you rather have the excitement of something new? If you want to drive a car for more than fives years, negotiate carefully and buy the car you like. If, on the other hand, you don't like the idea of ownership and prefer to drive a new car every two to three years then you should lease. Next, factor your transportation needs: How many miles do you drive a year?

How properly do you maintain your cars? If you answer is: "I drive 40,000
miles a year and I don't really care much about my cars as I don't mind
dealing with repair bills", then you're probably better off buying. Leasing is based on the assumption of limited-mileage, usually no more than 12,000 to 15,000 miles a year, and wear-and-tear considerations. Unless you can keep within the prescribed mileage limits and keep the car in a good condition at the end of your lease, you might incur hefty end-of-lease costs.

Acunda Cars

Acunda Cars is a unique automotive service and repair company. Exclusive Acura and Honda specialty shop with almost two decades of product experience. This will be the 11th year of business but new to the Charlotte area coming up on the second year here. Having moved from Tampa Florida in its much larger shop of 6 employees , the owner now is comfortable and enjoys doing all the hands on work personally to every vehicle.

The quality of work that way is much higher and fixing little things for free that most tech's do not notice or care about the owner uses to say thank you for choosing Acunda Cars.

One of first things many notice coming into the shop is how clean and organized it is. The owner having Military training as a ( level 9 Jet engine Mechanic ) learned in the 70's that being organized and clean was not an option but life in the maintenance field.

Many also have expressed the benefit of getting all their answers to their Acura and Honda questions by an owner who not only owns and drives them but has been involved with the product long enough to see it develop into a class of cars all of their own.

Being a Master ASE Tech. for 20 years and a Acura Master, NSX Master and Honda Master Tech. for over 15 years the owner thinks, sleeps, breathes Acura and Honda. He doesn't claim to be the most knowledgeable or the best technician in this country on the product but claims to be good enough to get the job done with accuracy and integrity.

The sales departments at the Acura and Honda dealers do not seem to have to work to hard to sell the product " it sells itself ". The owners concern is that the sales department do not take the time to explain the necessary services required by the Manufacture to keep it running correctly. .This year a customer came to Acunda Cars with a 86 Honda Accord LXI hatchback and it had over 550,000 miles on the Speedo and was serviced regularly by the car owners ( a truck driver ) . He travels to Florida a lot and racks the miles on it. The dealer wants to buy it back from him but he refuses to sell.

With a long suit in ethics the owner makes sure you get what you paid for. The prices he charges are not only fair but accurate to what it takes to run a good shop that will be around awhile. Having taken many automotive management courses by one of the top leading industry California based companies he has learned how to stay out of the pit falls that the novice repair shop might fall into, therefore producing a more quality product for the customer to enjoy.

He almost quit the career when he first started in 1977 as a Chevy light duty technician. With American cars there is one engineer to design the component and eight engineers to design it to break after warrantee. Seems to be all about the money with the domestic vehicles. When he stumbled across the Honda product as a dealer tech he saw the symmetry and logic and craftsmanship of the Honda product and felt finally at home.

From an engineering point of view there is no manufacture that spends more in research and development then Honda . He continues to be impressed by the innovative Ideas and care put into their cars. This is what inspires him to do the same to maintain this leading product.

Give Acunda Cars a try today and see the difference your self.

Scary Facts And The Skyrocketing Cost of Fuel

These are arbitrarily chosen but startling statistics. For each one I have included 100s and 1000s exist of similarly startling statistics. After you have read this I will tell you at least one thing that you can do about it.

twelve% of the population of the world lives in North America and Western Europe and comprises
60 percentof private consumption spending, but over one-third of the the world's population that comprises the population in South Asia and the lower parts of Africa account for only 3.2 percent.

In 1950, the global population was 2.6 billion people. There were 53,000,000 autos - which which is equivalent to one automobile for every 50 persons. Now, there are 6 billion people and 500 million autos-more than 1 car:12people

In 2003, fuel consumption per capita in North America was 1,593.1 litres per person, at the same tme in developing countries it was 59.2 litres per individual

A study determined that over a typical life span, the typical American will generate 13X's (the amount of environmental harm as the average person living in Brazil

So we get the blame for messing up the planet once again. Americans are fat slobs thatgobble up much too much and that is why the planet is dying. If that alone were factual that would be enough cause for alarm. But read this statistic....

In 1996 Asia outsold North America and Western Europe combined on new autos. In Mexico, from 1960 to 1990 the new autos sales increased by over 1,000%. In Brazil over that same time period, the increase was nearly 2,500%. Since the mid-1980s, China's auto sales has increased by more than 10% a year. Government projections are for 22 million vehicles in China by 2010, and a higher number of trucks and farm vehicles.

So the rest of the world is starting to catch up with us in terms of excessive use of resources. Sooner or later, something has to give.

Well as far as fuel and fuel shortages and fuel prices are concerned, that change is something that you can make happen right in your own motor vehicle's engine.

What if you never had to buy another gallon of fuel again?
Convert your fuel engine to hydrogen.
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you can expect to see savings on your fuel consumption of up to 30% maybe more.
If you do this and also add acetone to your gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have lowered your fuel consumption by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of fuel and the fuel will evaporate less easily and you increase your fuel mileage by 25% or more.

If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will have pumped your last gallon of fuel for the rest of your life. It is really quite easy, costs next to nothing, doesn't pollute the environment and you will enjoy the pleasure of knowing that you are conserving resources instead of using up more than your fair share.

Fuel Economy: What You Should Know if You're in the Market for a New Vehicle

If you've been kicking around the idea of buying or leasing a new SUV and upgrading to a more fuel-efficient model, it's important to know that you may not be comparing apples and apples. This year marked a change in how the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) determines how the fuel economy of brand new 2008 cars, pick uppickup trucks, and SUVs is calculated.

Prior to 2008, the EPA, along with automobile manufacturers, used a method of testing a vehicle's ratings that let's just say, didn't adequately recreate real-world conditions. The vehicle was placed on a set of rollers called a 'dynamometer' that allowed the car to sit in place while turning the wheels of the vehicle. Although the drag on the rollers was adjusted to better simulate various driving conditions, the vehicles were never tested in environments where wind resistance could influence the amount of fuel being burned, and the accessories were never running. Hence, the test created a level playing field for all vehicles of the same class to be compared, but the results never depicted the fuel economy you could expect in the real world. In addition, the simulated speeds prior to 2008 were considerably slower than what the average driver actually drives - only 48 miles per hour for highway tests and 20 miles per hour for tests in the city.

Starting this year, the EPA has begun to use an adjusted system of testing requirements to account for all the things that affect fuel economy: faster acceleration, higher speeds in both the city and on the highway, colder external temperatures, and vehicles are now tested with accessories (like the air conditioning) on.
The result? While the new method of testing gives potential buyers a better idea of what they can expect when the vehicle is driven off the lot, overall mileage projections have been reduced. While most people would probably prefer a more accurate method of testing, and therefore more accurate results, the problems arise when we throw another ingredient into the mix. Many automobile manufacturers have upgraded their 2008 lines to be more fuel-efficient as a response to increased gas prices over the past two years. Unfortunately, on paper, these vehicles now appear to be less fuel fuel-efficient than their predecessors. Without an understanding of the new testing system, comparing one's older model to a new 2008 could suggest you're better off keeping the car or pick uppickup truck you have. Chances are, you're not. Even the "non-green" models (models that still operate solely on unleaded gasoline without the assistance of an electrical power source) are becoming increasingly economical.

For example, the popular 2008 Isuzu Ascender advertises a fuel economy of 14 miles per hour gallon in the city and 20 on the highway. At first glance, that might seem lower than the ratings you're used to seeing. In reality, it's right in line with other 2008 midsize SUVs in the Ascender's class; the Ford Explorer, Mercury Mountaineer, GMC Envoy, and Chevy Trailblazer all share the same rating. The 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Hummer H3 both rate slightly lower than the Ascender under the new, more accurate tests. Although the numbers will say that this year's Ascender get fewer miles per gallon than last year's, that's not true. The 2008 4.2-liter, six-cylinder engine has actually been recalibrated for efficiency and according to Consumer Guide, accelerated to 60 mph in 8.8 seconds.
The moral of the story? Comparing '08 models to previous years won't tell you much in terms of fuel economy, so stick to comparisons between the newest models to gauge if the SUV or car you've got your eye on stands up to others in its class.

How To Lower Your Fuel Consumption And Drive More

Leni Cohen, 46, from Sacramento is taking matters into her own hands! She has figured out some effective actions on her own to increase her MPG. One thing she is doing is combining her weekly errands into one trip, rather than spreading them out on several trips.. She also tries to set up appointments for her office cleaning company, during off peak hour times so she doesn't let gasoline burn sitting in traffic. She observes she is now able to wait two days longer before she has to fill up her tank

She is not alone. Government statistics show consumers are doing more to conserve on gasoline since prices starting rising 4 years ago.
Some gasoline saving actions are more effective than others

Let's look at some that get results.

Learn where the cheaper gasolinestations are -
For instance, you will usually find cheaper gasoline in the outlying suburbs than downtown. It is best to avoid upscale areas when looking for a cheap fill. Gasoline stations near major freeway entrances can be more expensive than stations further away. It can pay to drive a few blocks from the freeway to find a lower price.
Take advantage of discounts that are available. Many fuel stations have coupons available for discounts on gasoline purchases. You can find these, like on the reverse side of grocery store receipts, in the mail coupons, internet coupons. Many fuel stations will give you a discount on gasoline when you also buy a car wash, or visa versa. A great way to save money on gasoline is by using a gasoline rebate credit card. Some of these cards can be used at virtually any gasoline station. A number of fuel station-specific cards are available, but are much more limiting, since you only get a discount at the same brand station.

TELECOMMUTE -
Telecommuting (working from home instead of the office) helps the environment, helps reduce rush hour traffic, is good for the family and will save you big time on gasoline. Try to get the boss to allow you to telecommute at least some of your work hours.

Convert Your Engine From gasoline to Hydrogen -
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you can expect to see savings on your gasoline consumption of up to 30% maybe more. If you do a full conversion then you will never have to pump another gallon of gasoline for the rest of your life. It is really quite easy and costs next to nothing.
